We caught it too. I narrowed it down to either one of the following: a) In Shrek 2, when Charming believes he would have rescued Fiona had Shrek not arrived first, he is actually mistaken. He would NOT have made it in time because Shrek Forever After proves that she would have saved herself before Charming arrived. OR b) It is simply a plot hole. I'm guessing it is B. It is NOT because of the deal Rumple made with Fiona's parents. Yes, he made them disappear from the here and now; but he did not erase their entire existence. If he had erased their existence, then Fiona would also not exist and the whole concept comes crashing down.<p><a href="http://macpaw.com/cleanmypc/" title="Computer cleaner">Computer cleaner</a></p> Good catch.
